Dr. John The Night Tripper - Gris-Gris (1968)
Dr. John: The Night Tripper - Gris-Gris
(Atco 1968)
Fantastic voodoo-blues-psych-soul awesomeness. Malcom Rebennack (a.k.a. Dr. John) is perhaps best known for 1973's "Right Place Wrong Time" ("I been in the right place, but it musta been the wrong time..."). That's a really great track, but "I Walk On Gilded Splinters" is a whole 'nother kind of really great. Check it out. Click the three dots down there to get your groove on.
